Death, Press Tours, and Other Forms of Revenge
Delivering severed heads is the easy part of Sam’s job. Not that killing people is hard exactly, but getting away with it can be tricky. What makes it even harder is, having to do it when the whole kingdom is watching.
Being selected for the prestigious Kingdom Representative Candidate Program wasn’t part of the plan – not Sam’s plan anyway. That’s the kind of thing he would have had to submit an application for. He soon learns it’s not an inconvenient mistake, but part of a plot for him to assassinate the king. It seems easy enough; tell some lies, rig some elections, start some riots, kill some grumpy old men – all totally normal politician stuff – and walk away with an obscene amount of cash.
Then the program director is murdered and Sam wakes up next to her corpse, covered in blood, with no memory of the night before. He’s absolutely, definitely, 80% sure he didn’t kill her. Even if he did, he’s not going down for her murder, no matter how many people he has to kill to prove it.
Death, Press Tours, and Other Forms of Revenge is the first book in the Part Time Assassin, Full Time Menace series – a funny, fast paced, fantasy series for readers who like maybe a little too much gore splattered over their humour, ala Dungeon Crawler Carl.
